Every generation thinks of gifting a better world to their children than the one they inherited. But not everyone is ready to work towards that ideal. The UNISARA Foundation is an organisation that is committed to help inspire people to work towards the ideal of making the world a better place by giving primacy to humanitarianism as the driving force that will help future generations inherit a better world than we did.
UNISARA sees the need for a balanced holism when developing an outlook for humanitarianism. Human, animals and the environment must all be equally cared for if a salutary world is to be bequeathed to future generations.
The UNISARA foundation is an organisation that is setting out on a journey to help society realise the need for genuine welfare that serves the betterment of people, animals and the environment. It is about a journey for realising a better world for all.
If true humanitarianism is realised globally the solutions to the world’s current problems would be fully answered. Just as a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, the efforts of UNISARA Foundation is about creating agents for positive change through humanitarianism so that it will spread to all corners of society.
It is not only the wealthy and powerful who have the power to change the world. Little acts of genuine kindness and sincere help the cause of humanitarianism. While a wealthy philanthropist may sponsor the construction of a hospital ward, a mendicant on a roadside may feed a hungry stray dog with part of his/her parcel of rice and curry given by an average passerby who gave a lunch out of the sincere feeling of giving. No matter the scale of the act of kindness we are all capable of doing some good to creative positive change for man, animals and the environment on a day to day basis.
The UNISARA Foundation will strive to inspire society to drive itself to be committed to positive humanitarian efforts as part of our day to day lives through which society and our environment can benefit.
Saying one believes in humanitarianism alone will not take society forward. Action is the need of the hour. The journey of the UNISARA Foundation is about not being limited to words but being committed to action.
WHO WE ARE
We are just a mother and a daughter who are passionately committed to humanitarian work. From helping the less fortunate in our local area to providing support for patients in hospitals, expectant mothers we have also done many an animal welfare focused project which includes projects in collaboration with Best Care Animal Hospital in Nawala.
We are a mother and daughter duo supported by a group of friends who believe in the strength of citizens to organise a humanitarianism driven direction for the future of society.
As UNISARA we believe we can make a difference in the way society thinks and therefore make a difference for tomorrow. A change that sees a society where compassion for animals and good calibre of character are seen as values to culture and realise the potential of a humanitarian society.
